About Central Carolina Keeshond Club
The Central Carolina Keeshond Club was founded in 2008 by a small group of dedicated and enthusiastic Keeshond lovers. The purpose of the Club is to promote and protect the breed in North and South Carolina, as well as in other states in our region. To accomplish this Club members share their experience and knowledge with each other and look for opportunities to educate the general public on the wonderful qualities of the Keeshond. CCKC also encourages Keeshond breeders in the Carolinas to adhere to the Keeshond Club of America’s Code of Ethics.
Since 2008 our Club has grown in membership and activities. A highlight for our members was hosting the 2014 National Keeshond Specialty week in Asheville NC. CCKC promotes and supports conformation (showing), agility, obedience, and other types of competition in which Keeshonden participate. The Club also holds events which bring members together for the pure enjoyment of spending time with Keeshond owners and their Kees.
CCKC is in the final stages of being approved by the American Kennel Club as a sanctioned breed club. That status will allow us to hold official Keeshond Specialty events for conformation which will attract entries from many parts of the country.
